May Activities

Marian Month

On May Mater Orphanorum School celebrated Hail Mary all month with different activites as pray rosary; learn about the differnt dedications to Mary, murals, processions, among others.

On May 2 the school had the visit of Rosary Virgin, girls pray the rosary and at the end they left a flower to the Virgin and some of them stayed a while to pray for their requests.








Mother's Day


On May 9 the school celebrated Mother's Day, girls made the invitations and flowers for mommies, The presentations was made by girls of Elementary School and High School.

There was a meal for mommies, also there was a raffle. 

On May 10 there weren't classes so girls could spend this special day with their mom, and the teachers that are mom could rest with their families.

Sport activity





Sport activity


On April 29 there was the Sport morning, girls made the ddecoration, planned games. There was a lot of different  kind of food. There was a disco. They were helping in Beauty salon. This activity was made with the purpose to help the different deeds that it has as nursery school, farm school, nursing home, boarding school, among others.

Secretary's Day



Secretary's Day



  On April  26 is celebrated Secretary's  day, accountant's girls prepared the classroom  with balloons, they gave a card with a chocolate to Secretaries.





From school girls went IRTRA petapa on  April 27. Girls had a lot of fun. Fourth,  fifth and sixth bilingual Secretary enjoyed this day.

Lent



Liturgy's commissions of every grade of school prepared a presentation to give a message about lent't time. There were dramatizations of some Bible verses, also there were some reflexion readings to be prepared for lent.

Stations of the Cross

Lime painting

On April 7 there was Stations of the Cross' presentation, two days before this, in the school there was a general cleaning, with lime grils painted tress, walls and curbs. In this activity were involved all girls of High School. They worked in team for the same objective.

Carpets

A day before Stations of the Cross girls with their teachers made carpets from sawdust, they chose their design, the colors, for this activity all School participated since little girls of pre-school until last year girls. The difference was that little girls their teachers made carpets with flowers, corozo.

Station of the Cross

Finally the great day came! The presentation to public of the Station of the Cross, many people came to watch it. Each grade had assigned a station, they are 15 stations. In each one there was a reflexion reading, a pray ( Our Father, Gloria), a song interpreted by the Chorus. 
Little girls of pre-school started with the activity, and the end was performed by girls of the last year, they made a dancing, they were angels.

Second unit


Women's International Day




For this second unit in the school, the girls had many activities. 
One of them was women's celebration, there was a female presentation of marimba, also there was a presentation of an art group they danced and made some activities as sing songs, dance and others.
